melancholy

I am lying six feet under the ground
in the dark, alone in the corner of my town
only a piece of cloth attached around
see no family or friends, nor hear any sound

words of the Rab' strike my head
verily every soul shall taste death
always felt I had enough time left
striking and fast, death leaves me bereft

Of what use my crib, cars, shares and cash
seems like what I earned is no good than trash
too late to realize I have missed my goal
now's the time for parting of the body and soul

I am lying six feet under the ground
in the dark, alone in the corner of my town
only a piece of cloth attached around
see no family or friends, nor hear any sound

was too busy minting silver and gold
Ignored so many when this was foretold
too late to regret not giving this warning a heed
now I am left with a single cloth and my deeds

I am lying six feet under the ground
in the dark, alone in the corner of my town
only a piece of cloth attached around
see no family or friends, nor hear any sound
