Alien Immigrants

If I were a Native American,
I would smile a smidgen.
Hearing angry arguments
against illegal immigrants.

You may hear a wailing echo
from hundreds of years ago,
when my indigenous ancestors
faced alien invaders.

Unlike the present visitors,
serving in the shadows
as low wage laborers,
those came and created widows.
