All That Just for you – to count our blessing!

As I sit and think
The many happenings
The world is at its brink
It is shrinking and sinking

We read and heard of the perished nations
Yet we have this notion
That it will not happen to us
We are safe that is a must

Imagine nature strikes back
An answer to our wise cracks
Long we had set the tone for destruction
With our development and construction

As we cried for the victims
Repentance is our dictum
But soon all is forgotten
As our memory span is shorten

We start the abuse again
Thus causing more pain
With ease we tease –
Will there be ever World peace?

Since this we can’t phantom
From the smallest of atom
Devastation is inconceivable
As we denied the inevitable

Starts counting your days
Stop being in a daze
The end is near
For you and me dear

But with Allah’s grace
Regardless of time, place or space
Human will persevere
If we are sincere

Stories teach us to win through
Again if we are true
In Islam an act so pleasing –
Is to count our blessing*

Cherish your love ones
As they give what you want
- Love, protection and peace too
All that just for you
