As you bury two daughters
and a son-in-law, brother
I shudder to think
what you are going thru as a father

We can never explain everything that befalls us
but calamities in life
will forever be gauged
with a scale that measured the enormity of your loss.

May the fragrance of sweet memories
waft over the stench of grim tragedies
your family paid the price for pervasive hatred
that is fanned to push the fringe over the edge.
