Condoning for Atonement

Isn’t it quite pathetic?
Nations small and big,
pandering an apartheid regime
full of intrigue, very extreme.

Dominating and subjugating,
people less endowed in accumulating
enormous wealth and deadly weapons.
Usurping land with illegal evictions.

All criticism is muted.
Atoning for atrocities imputed,
to a generation gone by,
resting peacefully in a continent nearby.
