Destiny
Today many people are sceptical about Taqdeer
If everything is preordained
Why should we bother to do good deeds
Why should there be any effort from me
For it’s already been said “Whatever will be, will be”
But
Man and Jinn were created to worship the Almighty
To be trialled and tested
By both good fortune and calamity
For
With supplication we can change our destiny
We are all given that opportunity
Especially on the “Night of Decree”
Take heed
Good deeds are a means to increase wealth and avert catastrophes
Committing sin invites losses and tragedies
So
Bear misfortune patiently
Rejoice good fortune graciously
Whatever has befallen you was not meant to escape you
And
Whatever has escaped you was not meant to befall you.
Console yourself that you have done your best
Then trust in Allah to take care of the rest
Accept that the “scroll” has been written, the ink is dry
There’s no point to lament and cry
After every hardship there is a time of ease
Allah is the only one we should fear
Allah alone we should please
