It’s been a long month for people to fast
And now it’s coming, to an end at last
Every prayer god doubles the reward
Every country god raises the weakened sword
Time has past so quick to notice
Every good deed was done by focus
The faces of Muslims will smile this day
Greeting family and friends ‘Eid Mubarak’ they’d say
Out in the morning dressed so neat
Making wudu and washing their feet
Children wake up with a note or two
Finding it hidden, by they wonder who?
Chocolate and lollies made by mum
Waiting at home for her visitors to come
A cherished moment lived by many
Zakat is given by a dollar or penny
But most importantly on this special day
There’s something to you I’d love to say
EID MUBARAK! My awesome friend
May Allah guide you with a message to send
Give this to a sister or a brother
A friend, your dad or even your mother
Someone who’s close to you at heart
Which on this beautiful blessed day to them you’d share your part.
