Enduring Footprints

Gazing at the canvas of life to date.
Tracing paths from a certain womb
to the certain tomb.
I see vast empty spaces of nothingness.

An inventory of enduring acts
measures passage of time
but ignores footprints on my heart
as they stomped in and out of my life.
