Fate to Face

On the cusp of elusive truth
I’ve glimpsed fate, eyeing me from afar
Inscrutable was her expression
blank was her stare.
When much is spoken, little is said
When nothing is told, a lot is meant
Relationships perish in this world
she seemed to say
Values will transcend barriers
when noise turns to silence
