I Am Lost Without You

Without the Qur’an I don’t know right from wrong,
I would worry whether my life will be short or long.
I would wonder where my next meal will come from.
I would ponder about the meaning of life
I would have no answer for all the strife
I would be lost in a world where oppression is rife.

Without the Qur’an I wouldn’t know what to do
I wouldn’t know where I came from or am going to
But these questions are easy thanks to you.
This life is full of tests and fraught with hardship.
It is not meant for play but for worship.

Thanks to the Qur’an I know whom y Lord is
I know His name and where His throne is
I know that all creation and authority are His
Thanks to you, I know the truth from the lie
I know nothing changes when I will live or die
I know which Law to live my life by

My life span and provision, Allah alone decides
To the truth, it is only Allah that guides
By His law alone, the believer abides.
For every problem, you have a remedy
You teach me who is my friend and who is my enemy
You give my Imaan increase and energy

You are my map to Paradise
My passport for the afterlife
Your value, is an unattainable price.
