A young man had finished work
And walked past a big company
Where he’d heard people were highly paid
And thought “I wish that could be me!”

Then more thoughts quickly rushed
Into his complaining heart
“I wish I got paid more!
When will my good luck start!

They must all have flash cars
And a massive house
And be living like royalty
I feel like such a mouse!”

One of the staff slowly raised
His eyes from the computer screen
And seeing the young man walk past
Made his thoughts flow like streams

“Oh how lucky he is!
So fit and healthy, he walks so fast!
I’ve spent years working for money
Yet neither me or the money will last!

I spend long days at the office
Even working every weekend
Plenty of money but what’s the point
With no prayer or family time to spend

This young man in the prime of life
Has opportunities, passion and is free
His wealth is inside him, and all around
Oh! I wish that could be me!!”
