I love me!
Will this create an enemy?
The feeling of animosity
Insane as it can be.
That is the reality

I love me!
A thought so negative
So, is it to be?
Just out of curiosity
Please bear with me.

I love me
A concept not so strange
Many a relationships are under strained
Time and monies going down the drain
Just "I LOVE ME", I maintain

I love me
The self indulgence or selfishness
Loving oneself in all eagerness
Transforming all the badness
And the good is harnessed

I love me
The first person to protect is I or ME.
From the harm and the very same enemy
That lies from within - committing sins aplenty
Just fight it with all sincerity

I love me
To prevent the harm all in
A simple step requiring ILM
A checklist guiding you to HIM
What does all this mean?

When I love me
Doing things reflecting maturity
Either you are ten, twenty or forty
The same applies once you reach puberty
The key word is responsibility

I love me
The acronym is ILM, remember and think
Islam, Law and My parents are the order of things
If you go against ILM-the end you will sink
Again remember to think.

I love me
A sincere advice to our youth
In seeking the truth
You need ILM and the proof -
That is to See, think, act and don't goof

I love me
One day you will see
The concept is easy
When I love me -
I protect myself against my enemy - named ME.


PS: Remember love yourself first- I LOVE ME requires ILM and with ILM remember don't go against the other ILM: I-Islam, L-Law of the land, M-My parents

Surah At-Tahrim: Verse 6
O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.
