Illegitimate Immorality

When veiled, you can barely see.
If overt, it’s not self-constraining
or discreet as it should be.

Glorifying reckless impiety
It feeds on its own notoriety
to cheer depravity in society

Time and again, divine intervention
Has bludgeoned many a civilization
that tolerates this for temporal gain
