Immunity for Faith

Spiritual T-cells in my mind
are dogged defenders of a kind,
charged with the solemn duty
of guarding my feeble sanity.

I feed them tiny doubts
of clever, venal thoughts
keeping them agile,
not frail and fragile.

If they get lazy and fat
they’ll just be a doormat
for the venomous viral bait
inspired by the evil ingrate.
