It is not my business!

The life we live today
Has made many gone astray
But the worse of all, is keeping mum and turning away
This is the happening sad to say!

“It is not my business”
We say with all easiness
I am writing to create awareness
That this attitude is dangerous

We often excused as creative freedom
When in actual fact the devil is building his kingdom
When mischief and ill doings
We accept as the next in thing.

Is gay and lesbian a style of an individual freedom?*
Look what happened to Sodom!**
Thus when nature is disturbed
Destruction awaits and cannot be curbed

Again our attitudes of indifference
Even towards small children
It will lead to our own destructions
Before it’s too late lets take action!

We must advice and stop
When sins they topped
As it can happen to anyone of us
Thus lend a helping hand, that’s a Muslim’s thrust ***

Hence make it your business to stop a sin ****
In whatever situation and scene
But do not create a din
Gently show them back to the Deen

Now say it is my business
The least to stop a family from this illness
A devil’s plot so devious
A fight we must conquer isn’t it obvious

We live in a society
Individualism is a pity
Muslim shouldn’t be hasty –
Saying “It is not my business” is nasty

Just do whatever you can
The littlest of effort will definitely mend
Even the hardest heart of man
This is what Allah command*****

* Al-Quran 26: 165-166 ““Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds [i.e., peoples]? Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."

** Al-Quran 29: 31 “And when Our messengers [i.e., angels] came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, “Indeed, we will destroy the people of that [i.e., Lot’s] city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers.”

*** Allah says: “And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun.” [Surah Ale 'Imraan : Ayaah 133]

And Allah says: “Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your Lord (Allah), and Paradise the width whereof is as the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He is pleased with. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.” [Surah Hadeed : Ayaah 21]

Allah also says: “… so compete in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.” [Surah Ma'idah : Ayaah 48]

**** Al-Quran 11:78 “O my people! Here are my daughters (i.e. the daughters of my nation); they are purer for you (if you marry them lawfully). So fear God and degrade me not as regards my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?”

**** Al-Quran 65: 2-5 “…And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out. And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine… whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him… and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will expiate from him his sins, and will enlarge his reward.”
