Wounded with grief but not for display,
it’s been a year since I last saw you today,
At first it was hard then I realised the truth,
Allah has perfected my love for you,

I pray as much as one can bare,
make dua for every second I spare,
To bring us closer and open our breasts,
to fit two hearts inside of one chest,

Is It worth the pain to know your away,
away so far for me to convey,
love, passion, emotion and envy,
a wife so beautiful, makes a husband feel weak,
But I do have hope, as Allah says,
With hardship comes ease and as long as your there,
I have all the hope that one can dream,
The dream of having just you and me,
When I hear you voice my eyes draw tears,
it something I haven’t done, truly for years,
I can only pray to be a good man for you,
something our Prophet strived to do,

A righteous husband light and kind,
to live with you honourably all the time,
Whether it’s your anger, pain or fears,
to take them away as soon as they appear,

To see you smile and enjoy the world,
for every moment, is a moment of gold,
To have your children share their love,
To grow old with you forever as one,

I never forget the day that we met,
which felt like a year through the feelings we felt,
which takes me back to the start of the page,
it’s been a year since I last saw you today,
