on my back I carry weights of burden grief and sorrow
climbing this mountain of life always thinking of tomorrow
as I travel up this rocky way,I witness struggles and confusions
and do my best to keep focused through this mountains great illusions
my heart is tempted by other roads so smooth and straight ahead
they offer me easy options but my soul, it wont be led.
my fear of falling off , this monstrous height of bad
to reach the top unscathed will be sure to make me glad
the life and soul I borrow for now,I must return some day
but until then Ill hold it dear and live in my faiths way.
my dearest loves and closest friend will hoist me up steep rocks
and I will make it in the end with my secrets forever locked
