These are not good days
for followers of the Islamic faith…

Rohingyas in Burma or Tatars in Crimea
What difference does it make?
Stateless and reviled
exiled and defiled

Elections in Egypt or India
What difference does it make?
Culpability for mass murders
is no hindrance for backers.

Al-Qaeda or Boko Haram
What difference does it make?
Creating new paradigms
with unforgivable crimes.

Syria, Libya, Chechnya
Palestine, Kashmir, Nigeria
Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan
and the list goes on and on.

Adding to despair
Turkey also needs repair
Leader with guile
feuding with scholar in exile.
