Lesson #787

I know not what is written
about me
in the book of destiny.

I am told there are
only two things that can change
what in life is pre-ordained

Prayer can forstall small miseries
here and there
But the evil eye can cause a lot of despair.

To ward off envy's glare
I keep a low profile
and defer credit for my good fortune.
