Washing up gloves, hanging over the tap
Water droplets at the end of each finger
Hanging like dewdrops off branches
A sign of the work that has been done

Our life should be full of useful work
Hands reaching out, keen, swift
To help ourselves and others
A clean, active life

At the end, towards the last breath
Signs of work showing on the face and body:
Firm, albeit more tired
But proof of labour, true and fresh
Like sweet fruit on a branch
