Why do they run away
from a fact of life?
Why do they try
to forget the inevitable?
Why do they pretend
that they are immortal?

Are they afraid of losing
their riches,
their glory,
the artificial happiness
that their empty lives give them?

Or are they afraid of facing
their horrendous piles of sins?

They tell you,
"I'm still young.
I've still got my whole life ahead of me,
I'm still gonna
get rich,
buy that luxurious car,
buy my own mansion,
'live the dream'
I'll die when I'm old and gray..."

Do they dare
to play games with Death?!
Do they dare
to even think that they will win?!

There's no use playing games with Death.
Because, guess what?
Death always wins.
