Prophets Honor

A billion blessings every day
for the one who showed us the way.
To drown the filth and dirt they hurl
and all the cartoons they may unfurl.

Freedom of speech is but an excuse
to cause our hearts anguish and bruise.
Powerless that we are, to respond in kind
respecting their icons in our mind.

Disappoint them by showing grace
Hide our agony without a trace.
Hot heads among us, we cannot sway
if they insist on having their way.
