Clouds make way for the sun
Which rises up from hiding
It seems an age since I last saw it
As it rises up whilst brightly shining

Dawn has broken through
The darkness of the night
As I look through the window
At the sun so bright

Slowly it rises
Gleaming upon the world
Like a priceless, precious stone
Or a magnificent pearl

The sky turns yellow
Then orange, then gold
Creating an amazing sight
For the eyes to behold

A moment to treasure
A sight which looks anything but plain
Something so beautiful
You will want to experience it again and again.
