Creation of Allah, loyal you stood.
A pleasure to have and see.
Now I see you covered in blood.
A fate that had to be.
An animal yes, and a friend you were.
A play mate for my child.
Your beautiful eyes and the way they'd stare.
your meow so soft and mild.
Never did we see your claws,never did you bite,
Yet you protected our yard with pride,
and took every rodent out of sight.
A kitten you arrived,hiding from us strangers,
But it didn't take long to know there were no dangers
you'd lay on my bed,often head to head,your purring like a song of trust.
We only hope we've shown you enough love and care,as we return you to Allah's dust.
Our cat we called beesha,was the sweetest we know.
We never thought he'd leave us this way.
Take care of your pets as they respect you and grow,
Because your also a creation who'll be judged one day.
