That Downward Spiral

I am on a downward spiral
Out of control
A feather blowing against the wind
Desolation claws me from all sides
Darkness makes me cringe
No matter how much I pray
This pain just won’t go away
Every moment is a battle
A war against hopelessness
One that I seem to be losing
As much as I try to hold on to my faith
I feel so weak, I feel like a fake
Maybe I just don’t have it in me
What will blot out this ache?
Help me, I am falling…
