Why am I not happy?
Why am I confused?
How many duaa will I make?
Or are they all for Allah to refuse?
How long do you have to wait so your duaa can com true?
Each duaa I say is nothing new
I just repeat the same duaa in different ways
Hoping in vain even as the sky rains
Wanting and needing the better of a change

Am I losing it altogether?
Maybe I've been real bad that I do not care
But You care and You're listening to my every cry

So many times we make duaa...
While some of most have a delayed response
But it is the decree of Allah that we need to accept
Each trial and each test are all for our own benefit
Yes, Patience is best! Why do we need convincing?
So why fight the tide of waves?
While the Qadr' (decree) is like a river-stream!
Release the duaa from within and trust in Allah
Say and supplicate! And believe He will answer

I have so many questions I want to ask You Allah!
But maybe you are by me and I am straying afar
We need to come and turn to you completely!
Because I am swimming in this stream
The tide is drifting me away
So to just trust You I'll float in your sway
Yes! You guide me through it all each day!
With your decree and by your decree on me
I'll take all the good and the bad
Count the blessings with me I have!
And just develop an intentional amnesia
So to only forget what really makes me mad.

Just as I type this I have gifts already!
Two eyes to see!
And You keep me healthy and free from disease!
Al-Hamdullilah by everything You Decree!
For it is only of Your Rahma and khayr which I feel

Accepting Allahs' Decree will really set you free
So in every situation I'll be content and happy :)
