The Hurt

			The Hurt!
Little we know how often we hurt
The closest to us we throw dirt
Angry words, swearing, cursing and insults
We do not know when to shut!
The closest we are supposed to love
We kick and punch minus the boxing glove
The more pain we instill
The more anger we still feel
When will it stop?
When the loved one dropped
Or when we are out of steam
Or will it stop only in our dreams
Why do we still hurt again and again?
What can we gain?
It sounds so insane
But mind you we will do it yet again
Do we really love our loved one?
Providing the needs they want
Do we recall the fun?
Sitting enjoying each company under the sun
Islam cherish the ties
Together as a family that plays and cries
That does not shy away far –
From saying I love you just the way you are!
Children needs our care
Parents need to be treated fair
Wives need comfort and protection
All from one man’s conviction
Husband plays an important role
The strongest among you is not easily fold
By his anger, rage, temper – shouting “Just do, what you’ve been told!”
That is a true man, Rasulullah (pbuh) foretold *
Now, when we are at the verge
The anger, temper and the urge
To still hurt and hurt
Let’s pause awhile and remember a verse we heard!
“Oh! Ye who believe! Save yourself and family from A Fire..”**
Thus, check, reflect and curb your desire
From hurting your family letting loose your anger
Remember you are throwing yourself to the dagger
Let not our anger consume us
Let us act now and fast
Let your loved one know
How much you love them so!

* It is reported in a hadith on the authority of Abu Huraira Allah be pleased with him, that Mohammad, the emissary of Allah peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said : "The man is not a good wrestler; the strong man is in fact the person who controls himself at the time of anger." (Bukhari)
** Al-Quran Surah At-Tahrim Verse 6. “O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded
