The Maze

One right route
But so many twists and turns
Sometimes you walk straight into a wall
In a deep pit you may fall
At the next turn the road splits into a fork
Left or right
Which way will work
So many red herrings along the way
Gold coins on the road to make you wander away
Wine, women and song
But for how long
The sun keeps inching across the sky
Before you know the time has sped by
But once you in the maze
Can’t wander in a daze
Or get distracted by the latest craze
For Life is but a phase
Bow down to Allah in praise
Hold on to the rope
Ya Hadiu, You swt are our only hope
Guide us safely home
