You have promise that You would send one who would revive, restore, rejuvevate Your Din(religion).Ya ALLAH it is geting late and time is not with us,Ya ALLAH You have Promise! Ya ALLAH You have Promise! and Your Promise is the Truth!. Ya ALLAH! we are in about 34 years in to this new Islamic century, that is one Quarter and 10 years of this century has pass and there is know sign of a Mujaddid(a Reviver) or the Mahdi. Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said: "Even if the entire duration of the world's existence has already been exhausted and only one day is left (before the day of judgment), Allah will expand that day to such a length of time, as to accommodate the kingdom of a person from my Ahlul-Bayt who will be called by my name. He will fill out the earth with peace and justice as it will have been full of injustice and tyranny (by then). there is no doubt that the tyrant that has appear in Syria at this present time is Sufyani! and there is no doubt that the dajjal is in America,Houston,Tx.(the Learned people say in privacy(in secrecy)Yes! that's is him,the dajjal, he's in our city,he's in our masjid, he's in our midst, but what can we do? In the Public they just Look the other way.The More! the Muslims People are aware of his(the dajjal) present, the More he has too do to try to conceal himself, try to screen himself, try to hide himself under a veil of secrecy from being recognized, And the more the dajjal present is known as a fact of truth, The More there is a Need for a Mujaddid and the Greater the Need for the Mahdi! The appearance of a Mujaddid/ Muhaddith/ Muhyi-ud-Din /Khalifatullah/ Massih is indeed based on the glad tidings vouchsafed to Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) in this regard. Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said; “VerilyAllah shall raise for this Ummah at the head(beginning) of every century a man who shall renew or rejuvenate (Restore or revive) for it its religion(Din)." [Sunan Abu Dawood, Book 37: Kitab al-Malahim [Battles], Hâdith Number 4278]. Throughout history, great Muslim Scholars, great Muslim intellectuals spiritual leaders, and Islamic Leaders in every field of science and education, They the Mujaddids have come and managed to rejuvenate(Islam) faith in the Muslim world and help Muslims deal with the problems of that age. For each one of these great figures, a specific historical context was necessary for them to accomplish what they did. The time demands a reformer and a rejuvenator, a Mujaddids."The term 'rejuvenation" which, among other meanings, refers to a restored youthful appearance or vigor. A self proclaimed mujaddid can not stand the test! What Test? THE TEST OF ALLAH! What qualities do Mujaddids have? Mujaddid means the rejuvenate, the one who gives something a renew Strength; and someone who strengthens something by renovating it. A Mujaddid is a Islamic scholar who teaches and educated people of their Din (religion) again when people leave the sunnahs of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and bid’ahs has become wide spread; and he or they abolish those bid’ahs. The Reviver will have some noble and un-mistakable traits:- (1). He will have un-flinching faith in Allah and will have staunch belief of the Ahle-Sunnah creed. ( 2).He will be an erudite, highly respected and recognised as a leader among scholars. (3). He will be extremely pious, as well as courageous.
(4).He will come at a time when many trials will be prevalent, confused ideas will be rampant and when the enemies of Islam – the open disbelievers and the hypocrites – will be seeking to destroy it. (5). He will stand up against every sort of tyranny, deviation in belief and hypocrisy. The word “mujaddid” stems from the verb “jadda”. ALLAH the Glorious sent human beings Anbiya(prophets) in order to show the people the right way from time to time as they needed. The last one of these Anbiya (prophets) is Hazrat Muhammad Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). No more Anbiya (prophets) will be sent after him. “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), and the Seal of the Anbiya(Prophets): and Allah has full knowledge of all things.” (al-Ahzab, 33/10). We pray to Allah to continuously guide us, as He has taught us to pray for it, in the opening chapter of the Holy Qur’an. Guide us on the Straight Path. The path of those whom You have favoured. [Fatihah 1:5-6] Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, ““There will always be in my nation a group who will safeguard the truth until the day of resurrection comes” (Hakim Mustadrak) In its own way, the appearance of a Mujaddid to teach the Holy Book and to illuminate the Divine path confirms an enduring practice of Allah the Most High- the raising of those who would carries His the Messengers messeage in every age, among every people, in every land.{ The Words of ALLAH, In Surah Al-i Imran 3:101-102-103-104}Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight. O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided. Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.} Why does a Mujaddid come after 100 years? A Mujaddid is sent after every 100 years because after every century the surroundings, the environment, the manner of thinking and ways of the people tend to pass through a massive transformation. It has been stated in the Hadith of Bukhari Shareef that during the latter stages of Rasulallah's (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) physical life, one night, after performing Esha Salaah, he stood up and said, Should I inform you of the importance of this night? From this night onwards, right up to the end of a 100 years, that person who is alive on the earth (presently) will not be alive." SO IN THE BEGINNING OF EVERY CENTURY (OF ISLAMIC CALENDAR YEAR), ONE MUJADDID WILL BE THERE IN HIS WORK!. THAT MUJADDID IS THE ONE WHO WILL BE THE SUCCESSOR OF PREVIOUS MUJADDID AND THE REAL FOLLOWER OF (RIGHTEOUS PREDECESSORS-THE FIRST THREE GENERATIONS). AND HE WILL BE THE ONE REVIVING THE SUNNAH OF Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) AND RIGHTLY GUIDED SUCCESSORS AND OF THE FIRST THREE GENERATIONS IN TOTAL!!!.The Holy Quran promises that ALLAH will raise, among the Muslims, Khalifas (deputies or successors) to Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) :

"Allah has promised to those of you who believe, and do good, that He will surely make them khalifas in the earth as He made those before them to be khalifas " (24:55)
The khalifas of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) include not only his successors who possessed worldly rule, such as Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar, but also his spiritual successors who came to revive the true teachings of Islam in every age. The spiritual khalifas are also mentioned in another hadith of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam)in the following words: "Surely Allah will raise up for the Muslims, at the head of every century, one who will revive their religion." (Abu Dawood)
Such a person is known as a mujaddid (reviver or reformer). Hadrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said:There will always be in my Ummah a group who safeguard the truth until Qiyamah comes” [Hakim’s Mustadrak] In accordance with all these prophecies, several renowned figures in the history of Islam have been recognised by the Muslims generally as being mujaddids of their centuries and spiritual khalifas of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam). Among them were: Umar ibn Abdul Aziz (1st century Hijra), Imam Ghazali (5th century), This is 1434 going in to 1435 of the islamic calendar Hijrah)It is 34years in to this new century, that is one Quarter of this century has pass and there is no sign of a Mujaddid(a Reviver) or Khalifatullah or (the Vicegerent to Allah on earth)or the Mahdi. there was no clear sign at the beginning of the 14th CenturyHijrah of A Major Mujaddid or a group of Mujaddids. If a Major Mujaddid or a group of scholars rejuvenators had been sent the Muslim world would not be in the turmoil and confusion that it is in today, and In this late time their work would have had a major impact on history and also in the direction it would have takes the Ummah. In the year 1400 (Hijra calendar) (1979-1980), in other words at the beginning of the 14th century, when denial of truth, the darkness of ignorance and corruption, perversion and diversion from faith are all at a peak. According to the hadith and expositions by scholars, there would have been sent at the beginnning of this century a Mujaddid or a group of restores , We are going in to 1435 hijrah,35 years in to the islamic calendar Hijrah
and there is no real signs of a mujaddid. It is the Hazrat Mahdi (as) whom the Islamic world is expecting in the 1400 hijrah as the Universal mujaddid of the 14th century.
In other words, He will(insha’allah) revive the Din and to revive those teachings of the Quran and Sunnah that are being destroyed and to give command according to the Quran and Sunnah.”Allamah Munaadi (Alaihir raHma) states: A Mujaddid is one who separates Sunnah from Bid’ah and one who degrades the status of the Ahle Bid’ah.” “Surely, Allah will send for this ummah at the advent of every one hundred years a person (or persons) who will renovate its religion for it.” The concept of Tajdeed (Revival) of Din. The act of “renovation of the religion” mentioned in this hadith has been referred to by the word Tajdeed. It means the restoration of the original beliefs and practices after their being changed, distorted or forgotten. The hadith indicates to the fact that some circles from within the Ummah may forget the original teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, and some foreign elements may creep into the original beliefs and practices. But the distorted version of Shari’ah, based on such foreign elements will not achieve the universal acceptance among the Muslims, and even if it succeeds in attracting a large number of people, Allah will send a person or a number of persons who will correct the error, restore the original beliefs and practices and explain the true intent of Shari’ah. This act of renovation is called Tajdeed, and those who carry out this remarkable work are named as Mujaddid (renovator). It is mentioned in the hadith that such people normally apppear at the advent of a new century. .During the last few centuries, many Muslim scholars have called for tajdeed (Islamic rejuvenation). Although the concept of tajdeed is not mentioned in Qur'an, it is referred to at least in one hadeeth. Muhammad Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam)said, "At the turn of each century, Allah sends to this Ummah (the most compre hensive Muslim community) someone who rejuvenates its religious affairs." (The Arabic term that Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) used and here translated as 'someone' is man which can mean an individual man or a group of people. It is mentioned in the hadith that such people normally appear at the advent of a new century. The Arabic word used for the time of their appearance may also admit the possibility of their appearance at the end of a century, but the first meaning seems to be more probable in the context of the hadith. The word advent does not necessarily mean that they appear in the very first year of a new century. No such definite time has been given in the hadith. They can appear within the first or second decade of a century. but it is highly unusual for 30 years to pass by before a clear sign that a major Mujaddid has come and gone! .The construction of the hadith has two possibilities with regard to the number of the renovators. There may be only one person who undertakes the task at the beginning of a century and there may be more than one person whose efforts, as combined together, may be termed as the efforts of tajdeed. They may work in different geographical divisions without having a formal relation between them or, possibly, without knowing each other. Still the work carried out by them can be termed as Tajdeed. Tajdeed is therefore the revival of the true face of Islam, which conforms to the requirements of being a natural religion, Din-al- Fitrah. This meaning is affirmed by sûrah 30 âyah 30:

‘Set your face to the dîn in sincerity (hanîfan) which is Allâh’s fitrah (the nature made by Allâh) upon which He created mankind (fatâra’n-nâs). There is no changing the creation of Allâh. That is the right dîn but most people know not.’ Since Allâh’s fitrah is engraved upon the human soul, mankind is born in a state in which tawhîd is integral. Since tawhîd is intrinsic to man’s fitrah,The Anbiya (the prophets), peace be upon them, came to remind man of it, and to guide him to that which is integral to his original nature. The âyah describes a fitrah of primordial faith which Allâh Himself implanted in human nature. It implies Islâm’s essential message of submission to the will of Allâh as taught as practised by the prophets. The Laws or the sharî‘ahs, which Anbiya (the prophets) were sent with, are guiding lights to the essential faith in Allâh which is created in every human being. Furthermore, since this faith comes from Allâh, it naturally follows that only laws capable of guiding man back to it must also come from Allâh, hence Islâm is also called dîn al-fitrah, the religion of human nature.
.This is what need to be Rejuveneta, Renew,Revive ,Restore ,Revitalize. Many! many! centuries pass and ignorance and superstitions became rampant. In those days,as well these .Quran presented a natural(din) religion whose principles were and is based on the laws of nature. But unfortunately, after the Sahabah of Rasulallah (sallallahu alayhi wa salam), degeneration began to set in and gradually Tribalism and other Jahiliyyah ritualistic practices got a stronghold.
In this time that we are living in we the Muslim Ummah are looking for the Universal renewer, the Universal restore, the Universal rejuvenator, the Universal Mujaddid, the Universal Mujaddid is None other then the Mahdi who will insha’allah restore the dignity of the Muslim Ummah,
) Linguistically, the term tajdeed means to make something fresh or seemingly new. The concept of tajdeed (Islamic rejuvenation) should not be confused with the related concept of islah (Islamic reform), which is referred to in Qur'an. While both of them call for correcting changes in the Muslim Ummah, the scope of changes implied in the concept of tajdeed is more compre- hensive than that of the concept of islah. The latter is more related to the practical aspects of Muslim social, economic, and political behavior, while tajdeed is more concerned with seminal, theoretical principles. The process of tajdeed starts with criticizing the current application of the Islamic fundamentals and bases in a recently changed society, and goes along the way until those fundamentals are better understood and applied. Therefore, the process of tajdeed requires more time than that the process of islah takes in order to reconsolidate the implementation of the Islamic fundamentals.
The Qualities of a Mujaddid ? It is not necessary that a Mujaddid be from the Ahle-Bayt as claimed by the Shias and other sects. It is not necessary that a Mujaddid be a Mujtahid. ?What is absolutely necessary is that he be inspired with the knowledge and spirited that would 'rejuvenation, revival, restored ' the Sunni with correct beliefs according to the Ahle-Sunnah wa Jamah. He be profound Aalim of Deen. ?He be a Master and embodiment of most of the Sciences of Knowledge. ?He be an outstanding Scholar of his time. ?His services for the Deen be purely for the pleasure of Allah and His Rasool and not for greed of wealth and other worldly gain. ?He be fearless of opposition and rulers of his time. ?He will not act or give verdicts to please any person besides Allah and His Rasool. ?He will not fear speaking or advocating Truth in all circumstances. ?He will not use Religion to gain worldly fame. ?He will be a very pious and Allah fearing person. ?He will perfect mixture of the Shari’ah and Tari’qah. ?He will not tolerate any opposition to the Shari’ah. ? it is necessary for a Mujaddid that both in the last portion of the century he was born in and the beginning of the century he passes away in, he be famous and be a fountain and focal authority of religion for the Ulama of his time. ?It is also necessary for a Mujaddid that the Scholars (Ulama) of his time observe, benefit and be convinced of his impeccable lifestyle and profound knowledge and hence acknowledge and announce in public that he is a Mujaddid. ?Therefore it is important that a Mujaddid be a perfect embodiment and Alim of both the external (Shari’ah) and internal (Spiritual) sciences of Knowledge promoting the protecting the Sunnah and fighting and destroying Bid’ah. Identification of a Mujaddid. A Mujaddid is recognized by the strong opinion of his contemporary noble Ulama who greatly benefit from his condition and prolific Knowledge. He will be an embodiment of both external and internal sciences of Knowledge supporting and defending the Sunnah and challenging and defeating Bid’ah.” Can their be more than one Mujaddid to a century? There can be more, and there has already been more than one Mujaddid to a Century. In the Hadith, the Arabic word that is used to explain the coming of the Mujaddid is in the singular tense, but according to the meaning, it is a plural as it has been explained in the Kitaabs of Usool-e-Fiqh. Allamah Mulla Ali bin Sultan Qaari (Alaihir rahmah) who is also said to be the Mujaddid of the 11th Century says, “From the words, not only one single person is implied, but the implication is towards a group of people, from amongst whom each one is reforming a single type of knowledge or all types of knowledge in his city.”So, Sometimes a single Mujaddid is born in a century and sometimes there are two or a group in one given century when a consensus cannot be reached on one person. There are time when an Alim be in the middle of century who may be more knowledgeable and excellent than the Mujaddid, but he will not be classified as a Mujaddid because he did not recived the(Blessing) Barakah to inspired the Hearts of men with Spiritual knowledge that rejuvenation, restore, renew the Din in them, that This is so generally when the century ends many of the great Ulama also pass away and great dissension and Fitna engulfs the Ummah. Bid’ah and religious corruption creeps into the masses who tend to deviate from the pristine teachings of Islam. At this crucial period there is a great need for revival and renaissance in matters of Deen. At this critical time Allah sends such an Aalim who removes all evil and religious corruption from the Ummah by publicly announcing and refuting them. He will be the best of people and most awesome amongst the dignitaries of his time. If He(the Mujaddid) ,If they were present there would be some sign of that light(that Nur) that the muslim world would experience . It is Astonishing to see how many socall muslims Frowne at the very mention of a Mujaddid or the Very mention of the Mahdi! these are the people who are really against Islam and It Restoration,They are (obscure)hiding among the muslims, but the Looks in their eyes and the tone in their voices says everything! the coming of a Mujaddid or the Mahdi in this Late and Last period of time would mean the end of corruption in Islam, because that inspiration would spread like wildfire among the believing muslims and we would feel the Spirit of Islam flooring thought our veins once again and The Nur (Light) of Din that Flame would be burning in our Hearts once again! That Flame! that would bring about a Renaissance in Islam! Such a revitalization that we will see Men who would reflex the light of the Sahabah! Abu Bakr As-Ssiddiq(the Truthful)(radi allahu anhu)Umar ibn al-Khattab (farooq )radi allahu anhu)!Uthman(radi allahu anhu)! Ali(radi allahu anhu)! and many of the sahabah, Donot misunderstan there will never be another Abu Bakr As-Ssiddiq(Radiallahu anhu)nor Umar ibn al-Khattab(radi allahu anhu)Nor Uthman(radi allahu anhu)! Nor Ali(radi allahu anhu)! there will be only men who would remind us of them, our Hearts look foreward to such a day that we will feel like we are in the early days of the Din!{Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah}. Ramadan bring the Spirit of Islam, then it gos, but to live in a time where every day seen like Ramadan, In time Where the Spirit of Islam is High! and our Heart are Free from the burden of darkness and corruption, and the Nur (the light)of the Holy Quran would touch our Hearts and Souls deeply and we will read the words(the Hadith) of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) and it will be as if He (sallallahu alayhi wa salam)Had just spoken these words and someone just written them down!Such freshness of islam(of the Din of ALLAH) could only exist with the present of Eisa(alayhi salam).when Prophet Eisa(alayhi salam) will descend to the white Minaret (Nawwas-b-Samaan/Muslim) in the east of Damascus, wearing two garments died with saffron, placing his hands on the wings of two angels. All those that are present will recognise him, as he will look exactly like the description of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) Resembling the Sahabi Urwa bin Masood (Abu- Huraira/ Muslim) the colour of his skin will be reddish white (Ibne Abbas/ Bukhari), he will be well built and his hair will be soft and reach his ears. When he lowers his head, beads of perspiration will fall from it and when he raises his head, beads like pearls will scatter from it. (Nawwas-b-Samaan/Muslim). Prophet Eisa(alayhi salam) will have three main tasks, when he descends on the Earth for the second time:1) The first and most important will be that he will destroy the Dajjal.2) Protect the Muslims from the barbarous tribes of Yajuj and Majuj by taking them to Mount Tur and then Praying for their (Yajuj and Majuj's) destruction.3) Reign as a Khalifh according to the Quran and Sunnah and elevate Islam. Some Ulama have said that Prophet Eisa(alayhi salam) found many virtues of the followers of Muhammad Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) in the bible and thus he prayed to Allah to make him amongst the Ummah of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam). Allah answered his prayer and he will return for the second time as one of the followers of Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam). (Ibne-Khathir)3) It is the Law of Allah that anything that is created from the Earth has to be buried in the Earth and not the Heavens. Thus he will return to the Earth for the second time, kill the Dajjal, live for a period of time and then he will die a natural death and will be buried with Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam). (Ashratus-Sa'ah). ????Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said, "By him whose hands my life is in, surely the son of Maryam will come down amongst you as a just ruler. He will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the tax. Wealth will be in such abundance that none will care about it and a single prostration in a Prayer will be better than the world and all that is in it." (Abu Huraira/Bukhari, Muslim)
The above hadith clearly indicates that when Prophet Eisa(alayhi salam) returns to the world for the second time he will not reign as a Prophet nor, will he bring a new Shariah or Deen, as Islam is the last religion, the Quran is the last book to be revealed and our Muhammad Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) is the last Prophet. There is no Prophet to come after him and the Quran has made this fact very clear.Allah says in the Qur'an, "Muhammad ((sallallahu alayhi wa salam)) is not the father of any of you but is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets (Surah-Al-Ahzaab) All types of spiritual Enlightment and worldly blessings will descend on Earth in his time. Wealth will flow like water, everyone will be independent and have surplus wealth and property to the extent that nobody will be in the need of Zakat and Sadaqa thus receiving of Zakat and Sadaqa will be discarded.
All hearts will be free from misery, envy, malice, and jealousy. this period in it Actualization,in it Realization, in it accomplishment may take 40 years. In this period of coming enlightment that will be a time when Once again the Quran and Sunnah will govern the lives of the Muslim people, in this time Eisa(alayhi salam)and the rightly guided Khalifh, Imam Mahdi will gain an upper hand and will be firmly established Islam in the land. The oppression, tyranny, and darkness that is prevailing all over the globe will be replaced with justice, peace and equity. The smile, which was long forgotten, will be restored on and too the faces of the Muslim people with Beauty and light{On the Day when some faces will be (lit up with) white){But those whose faces will be (lit with) white,- they will be in (the light of Allah.s mercy} and the sad hearts will become happy and content, so the inhabitants of the Heaven and Earth will be pleased, A Time where life would be one of submissive and humble to Allah (Khushoo). This Khushoo, this quality, this Virtue of humility and humbleness is a distinguishing feature of the personal nature of the believing Muslim not just in his prayer, but in his everyday life. Khushoo which is a most important aspect of life, this also implies that one must be totally conscious of ALLAH (swa) and that his/her heart be alive with His (swa) remembrance during the performance of Salat, and as well as in life itself. Therefore, if anyone finds that he is heedless whilst standing before ALLAH the Great during his prayer because his heart is directed to other things, naturally when he is not involved in it (i.e. Salaah) he would become more vulnerable to indulge in disobedience to Allah (swa), because it is less likely for him to be aware of ALLAH then. that's why it is very important to beg ALLAH to bestow on us, to grant us humility in our hearts at all times. If one performs his Fajr (Dawn) Salaah consciously and becomes involved in his daily affairs, he would be ashamed to do anything evil because he would be aware that he has an appointment to stand before his Rabb again at noontime.
Compare this type of consciousness with another person who goes to his Fajr Salaah, but his heart is on everything but ALLAH (Swa). And today most of us the Muslim, our Hearts are heedless of the remembrance of ALLAH, even in prayer. Salaah is the greatest of the practical pillars of Islam, and khushoo’ in prayer is required by sharee’ah. When Iblees, the enemy of ALLAH, vowed to mislead and tempt the sons of Adam and said “Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left…” [al-A’raaf 7:17, interpretation of the meaning], one of his most significant plots was to divert people from salaah by all possible means and to whisper to them during their prayer so as to deprive them of the joy of this worship and cause them to lose the reward for it. As khushoo’ will be the first thing to disappear from the earth, and we are living in the last times, the words of Hudhayfah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) are particularly pertinent to us: “The first thing of your Din (religion) that you will lose is khushoo’, and the last thing that you will lose of your Din (religion) is salaah. There may be a person praying who has no goodness in him, and soon you will enter the mosque and not find anyone who has khushoo’.” (al-Madaarij, 1/521). We can go anywhere in the Muslim world and to any masjid and find cell phones ringing, and photos being taken. Heedlessness of ALLAH(SWA) during the Salaah is the natural state of most of the praying Muslims living in our time. Their only struggle is centered on the fact that they must pray on time and that they must get the standing, sitting, bowing and other external aspects over with (i.e. for those who are that conscious). No time is spent to ensure that they correct the state of their hearts during the Salaah. What is important to them, it seems, is that they perform the mechanical aspects of the Salaah. Subsequently, when they find five minutes of spare time they quickly rush through their Salaah to get rid of ‘the burden’ on them. It is important to realize that during Salaah, the heart is incapable of desiring both ALLAH and worldly possessions such as our children, money, etc. simultaneously, this is stated emphatically by ALLAH. He (SWA) said:
“ALLAH has not put for any man two hearts inside his body…” [Al?Ahzaab 33:4]
Now, to what is our heart attached when we pray? Is it attached to ALLAH, or to the worldly things; if it is attached to the latter then clearly our loyalties are in the wrong place. This shows that our love and the attachments of our hearts are directed to the world and whatever is in it. Whereas ALLAH commands us to love Him i.e. attach ourselves to Him, He (SWA) says:“Say (O Muhammad): If your fathers, and your sons, and your brothers, and your spouses, and your tribe, and the wealth you have acquired, and the merchandise for which you fear there will be no sale, and the dwellings you desire, are more loved to you than ALLAH and His Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and Jihaad in His way, then wait until ALLAH brings His command (punishment) to pass…” [At?Taubah 9:24] Khushoo’ means that the heart stands before the Rabb of the worlds in humility and submission at all time, this is something that has to be worked on. It was reported that Mujaahid said: “’…and stand before ALLAH with obedience” [al-Baqarah 2:238 – interpretation of the meaning]’ – part of obedience is to bow, to be solemn and submissive, to lower one’s gaze and to humble oneself out of fear of ALLAH, may He be glorified.” The site of khushoo’ is the heart, and its effects are manifested in the physical body. The various faculties follow the heart: if the heart is corrupted by negligence or insinuating whispers from Shaytaan, the worship of the body’s faculties will also be corrupt. The heart is like a king and the faculties are like his troops who follow his orders and go where they are commanded. If the king is deposed, his followers are lost, which is like what happens when the heart does not worship properly. Only the parts of your prayer where you focused and concentrated properly will be of any avail to you. It was reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: “You will only have from your prayer that which you focused on.”
Increase your Khushoo’ by knowing that ALLAH responds to prayers. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “ALLAH, the Blessed and Exalted has said: ‘I have divided the prayer between Myself and My slave, into two halves, and My slave shall have what he has asked for.” When the slave says ‘Praise be to ALLAH, Lord of the Worlds,’ ALLAH says, ‘My slave has praised Me.’ When the slave says, ‘The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy,’ ALLAH says, ‘My slave has extolled me.’ When the slave says, ‘Master of the Day of Judgement,’ ALLAH says, ‘My slave has glorified me.’ When the slave says, ‘It is You alone we worship and it is You alone we ask for help,’ ALLAH says, ‘This is between Me and My slave, and My slave shall have what he asked for.’ When the slave says, ‘Guide us to the Straight Path, the path of those whom You have favoured, not the path of those who receive Your anger, nor of those who go astray,’ ALLAH says, ‘All these are for My slave, and My slave shall have what he asked for.’” (Saheeh Muslim, Kitaab al-Salaah, Baab wujoob qiraa’at al-Faatihah fi kulli rak’ah). [Words in italics are the translation of the meaning of Soorat al-Faatihah – Translator].
This is a great and important hadeeth. If everyone kept it in mind when he prays, he would attain immense khushoo’ and al-Faatihah would have a great impact on him. How could it be otherwise, when he feels that his Rabb is addressing him and giving him what he is asking for?
