Am I?
Who am I?
Am I not I?

I, the servant!
Am I a true servant?
Who am I to rebuke as a servant?
Am I not a loyal servant?

I, the king!
Am I truly a king?
Who am I to rule as a king?
Am I not just but an ordinary king?

I, from nutfah!**
Am I going too far?
Who am I to be proud?
Am I not but one of the crowd?

I just like you!
Am I just passing through?
Who am I to fool?
Am I not but the most sinful?

I, the ingrate!
Am I that great?
Who am I to meddle with what Allah creates?
Am I not but bowing to the One who "illuminate"?

I, the Muslim!
Am I scheming?
Who am I to accuse you of bad thing?
Am I not but just an ordinary being?

I, the Man!
Am I that man?
Who am I to say to heaven or hell?
Am I not but just trying to tell?

You and I
Do we see eye to eye?
You tell me why?
Are we not but bound by the same tie?

** Al-Quran 23: 12-14 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature: so blessed be Allah, the Best to create
