One must know well that It is ALLAH And His words and the Sunnah of His Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) that is the bridge between illusion and Reality. Muraqaba is a word for meditation. Literally it means "that ALLAH is watching over ,"to watch over"," "to take care of", or "to keep an eye". Metaphorically, it implies that with meditation on the Greatness of ALLAH, ALLAH watches over or ALLAH is takes care of the humanbeing spiritual heart (or soul), and the human acquires knowledge about it, its surroundings, and its creator, the one who is watching over it. When the lips are closed, then the heart begins to speak; when the heart is silent, then the soul blazes up, bursting into flame, and this illuminates the whole of life. The (inner) meaning of Muraqaba - is to preserve the heart from everything other than Allah. The word Muraqaba comes from Raqibun, which in Arabic means the Watchful, Careful Observer, Vigilant, Wakeful. Ar-Raqib is one of the Beautiful Names of Allah, which means the One Who is Ever Watchful . muraqaba means closing one’s heart to all that displeases ALLAH and separating the Heart from the world , and opening the spirit to receive the radiances, gifts, and favors coming from ALLAH, then we must close our Hearts to the worldly pleasure and open our Hearts to the Mercy of ALLAH . The first steps to muraqaba are to accept as great what ALLAH has decreed as great, to accept as worthless what He (ALLAH) has decreed as worthless, and to prefer ALLAH's Will and desires over our own. Thinking of the depth of ALLAH’s Mercy and generosity increases and strengthens one’s Faith, love and Devotion to ALLAH and desire to worship Him, and fear and awe of Him causes one to lose any appetite for sin and to live a careful life. Muraqaba leads men and women to discard anything that harms their faith, their worship, and to maintain the purity of their thoughts, actions, and intentions even when they are alone, in the consciousness of His continual observation. deep reflection and concentration in the remembrance of ALLAH in the Hope that nothing apart from these thoughts enters the mind and Heart except it, and to lose one’s self-awareness while focusing on these thoughts.
“Verily, in the Remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” [Qur’an 13:28]. The Guidance of ALLAH is thus a unique rope extended to any who seeking His guidance for only the words of ALLAH and The sunnah of His Nabi(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) may serve as the link between one having for peace and contentment this world and peace and contentment in the hereafter. Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding, Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the
penalty of the Fire. (Qur’an 3:190-191) a hadith narrated through Hazrat Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, “one person lying on his bed, looking at the sky and the stars says, “I know
you have a Creator.” This causes the flames of love of the Creator to rise in his heart so he
prayed, “O merciful Lord forgive me” so the Lord forgave him.” Muraqabah is knowing that Allah is watching over us. Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, says:
"And know that Allah knows what is in your minds, so fear Him." [Al-Qur'an 2:235]

"And Allah is Ever a Watcher over all things." [Al-Qur'an 33:52]

"And He is with you wherever you may be." [Al-Qur'an 57:4]
There are many other similar verses stating the same concept.
In the hadith of Jibril, when he asked the Prophet about ihsan (goodness and excellence), the Prophet replied, "Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you see Him, but since we do not see Him we should know that He sees us at all times." [Bukhari and Muslim] The meaning of this hadith is the definition of muraqabah. Namely, the endurance of the servant's knowledge and his conviction and certainty that Allah is watching over his internal and external affairs. To have this knowledge and certainty at all times is called muraqabah. It is the fruit of the servant's knowledge that Allah is his Watcher, Over-seeing him, Hearing his utterances, and Observing all of his deeds at all times.
Al-Junaid said, "The one firm in muraqabah fears the waste of even a moment for other than his Lord." Dhun-Nun said, "The sign of muraqabah is to favor what Allah has sent down (of the revelation), to glorify what Allah has glorified, and to despise what Allah has despised."
Ibrahim Al-Khawas said, "Muraqabah is the sincerity of both the internal and external to Allah." It has been said that, "The best that man may cling to on this road to Allah is muhasabah (reckoning of the self), muraqabah, and governing his conduct with knowledge."
The people of true knowledge have unanimously agreed that having muraqabah for Allah in one's hidden thoughts is a means for it to manifest in the deeds and the behavior externally. So, whoever has muraqabah for Allah in secret and internally, Allah will preserve him in his actions and behavior, both internally and externally.
One of the finest definitions for muraqabah is the following: muraqabah of Allah is being on the way to Him at all times with overwhelming glorification, inciting nearness and urging joy. The overwhelming glorification is to have the heart filled with glorification of Allah. Such a state makes the servant unconcerned with glorifying others or paying attention to others beside Allah. A servant should always have this state, especially when he is remembering Allah. To be with Allah provides one with intimacy and love. If these are not associated with glorification, they may take one outside of the limits of servitude. Any love that is not associated with glorification of the Beloved One is a reason to distance him away from the Beloved and lose His respect.
The overwhelming glorification includes five components: walking towards Allah, constantly walking towards Him, presence within the heart for Him, glorification of Him, and being overwhelmed by His glorification to be concerned with others. The inciting nearness is the closeness to Allah that incites the servant to have these five components. This closeness makes him glorify Allah in a manner that he pays no attention to himself or others. The closer the servant becomes to Allah, the more he glorifies Him and the less mindful he will be for others. The urging joy is happiness and glorification. It is the delight one finds in this nearness. There is nothing in this world comparable in any way to the joy and happiness of the heart and the delight of the eye with Allah and His closeness. This is one of the states in Paradise. A knowledgeable person said, "There are times when I would say that if the people of Paradise can be in a state like this, they are indeed living a good life." This joy, no doubt, urges him to be constant in walking to Allah and doing his best to seek Allah's Pleasure. If one didn't achieve this joy or even a portion of it, then one should doubt their faith and deeds. Faith has grace and sweetness. If one has not tasted it, then one should go back and achieve the true faith and its sweetness.
The Prophet mentioned the sweetness of faith in many ahadith, including, " ... tasted the taste of faith, those who take Allah as their Lord, Islam as their religion and Muhammad as a Messenger." [Muslim and Ahmad] He also said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities attains the sweetness of faith: To have Allah and His Messenger dearer to him than anything else, to love a person only for the sake of Allah, and to hate to return to kufr after Allah has rescued him from it like he hates to be thrown into fire." [Bukhari and Muslim] I heard Shaykh ul-Islam ibn Taymiyyah saying, "If you don't find sweetness and joy in the deed you perform, then doubt its sincerity, for Allah is Shakur (Most Appreciative and Rewarding)." He meant that Allah will certainly reward His servant for his deeds in this world as long as the servant is delighted and happy with his deeds. But if he doesn't find the delight and the joy in his heart, then his deed is imperfect, defective.
This imperfection and defectiveness is the reward of what the servant receives for his deeds. Deeds have consequences and effects that return to the servant that performed them, affecting his life and all of his affairs. Salah, for example, prevents the servant from unlawful and evil deeds. It also refines his morals and brings him up in the best manner that Allah loves.
Siyam strengthens his will and enlightens self-reproach and insight, so the person may see the straight path and become among the righteous. Such are all the good and righteous deeds, they have a reward that affords prosperity in all of man's affairs. As a result, family life and the society become joyful and prosperous. The evil deeds have their consequences as well. Allah said:
"For those who have done good is best (reward)." [Al-Qur'an 10:26]

"The evil was the end of those who did evil." [Al-Qur'an 30:10]
that there is no good deed except with dhikr as a precondition for its validity, and whoever does not remember Allah in his heart at the time of his sadaqa or fasting, for example, then his deed is incomplete: therefore dhikr is the best of deeds because of this. Dhikr is, therefore, something of tremendous importance. Abu Hurayra said that the Prophet said, Peace be upon him: "The earth and everything in it is cursed, except for dhikr and what attends dhikr, and a teacher (of dhikr) and a student (of dhikr)." Narrated by Tirmidhi who said it is hasan, Ibn Majah who said the same, Bayhaqi, and others. Suyuti cites it in al-Jami` al-saghir from al-Bazzar's similar narration from Ibn Mas`ud and he declared it sahih. Tabarani also narrated it in al-Awsat from Abu al-Darda'. By the words "the world and everything in it" is meant here all that claims status or existence apart from Allah instead of in Him. In fact, all creation does dhikr because Allah said that all creation does praise to Him constantly, and tasbih is a kind of dhikr. Allah said of the Prophet Yunus, when the whale swallowed him: "Had he not been one of My glorifiers (musabbihin), he would have remained inside the whale's stomach until Judgment Day." (37:143-144)
The one who engages in dhikr has the highest rank of all before Allah. The people who call on Allah without distraction have been mentioned in Qur'an, as well as the effect that calling has on their heart: "In houses which Allah has allowed to be raised to honor and for His Name to be remembered in them; He is glorified there day and night by men whom neither trade nor sale can divert from the rememberance of Allah" (24:36-37). "Those who believe, and their hearts find satisfaction in the rememberance of Allah: By remembering Allah, truly satisfaction comes to the heart" (13:28). Remembrance of Allah in the heart, or in both the heart and the tongue.
We are concerned here with the last two meanings, that of mention of Allah, as in the verse, "The believers are those who, when they hear Allah mentioned, their hearts tremble" (al-Anfal), and the Prophet's saying in Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah from Ibn Jubayr: "The best dhikr is La ilaha illallah." We are also concerned here with the meaning of remembrance through the heart, as in the verse: "The men and women who remember Allah abundantly" (33:35). The Prophet both praised and explained what is in the latter verse when he said, as it is related in Muslim, "The single-hearted are foremost." When he was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are the single-hearted?" he replied, "The men and women who remember Allah abundantly." The Prophet further elucidated the role of the heart in effecting such remembrance when he said to Abu Hurayra: "Go with these two sandals of mine and whoever you meet behind this wall that witnesses that there is no god except Allah with certitude in his heart, give him glad tidings that he will enter Paradise." (Narrated by Muslim.) Dhikr may sometimes mean both inner remembrance and outward mention, as in the verse "Remember Me, and I shall remember you" (2:152) when it is read in the light of the hadith qudsi, "Those that remember Me in their heart, I remember them in My heart; and those that remember Me in a gathering (i.e. that make mention of Me), I remember them (i.e. make mention of them) in a gathering better than theirs." We return to the explanation of that important hadith further below. Suffice it to say that, broadly speaking, there are three types of dhikr: of the heart, of the tongue, and of the two together.
Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari (1989 ed. 11:251) explained that what is meant by dhikr in Abu al-Darda's narration of the primacy of dhikr over jihad is the complete dhikr and consciousness of Allah's greatness whereby one becomes better, for example, than those who battle the diebelievers without such recollection.
ALLAH The Almighty is more closer to us than our Heart’s artery or our Jugular vein. Muhammad Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) is more closer to us than we are to our own lives , how is He(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) closer because He exemplify the Best quality of the human being. Muhammad (sallahu alayhi wasallam) is the slave of ALLAH. And without being closer to Muhammad Rasulallah(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) we are far from ALLAH Almighty. Because He(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) and the Seal of the Prophets,(Khatam an-Nabuwwah or Khatam an-Nabiyyin)this is a title used by ALLAH in the Qur'an to characterize the appointed position of Muhammad(sallallahu alayhi wa salam)the Prophet( the Nabi). It is understood to mean that Muhammad(sallallahu alayhi wa salam) is the last in a series of Prophets, who were chosen by ALLAH to deliver the Divine message of Islam, the final revelation from ALLAH, in the form of the Qur'an, and that it is intended for all mankind, for all time -------------------------------------------------------Your Brother k.ibrahim..-----("O Muslim people please make Dua for Me, That ALLAH increase My Faith(IMAN) and devotion,And grant me a Good Muslim wife, who has knowledge of Din!([email protected])
