Tightrope

Life is a balancing act
That is an undisputed fact
The true path is narrow and straight
Won’t do to have a faltering gait
Nor to lose sight of the ultimate Goal
For evil lurks behind every bush and hole
As we inch toward our fate
Our Creator’s mercy is so great
That
Should we stumble
Should we fall
We can pick ourselves up
Dust ourselves off
But
A time will come
To walk over Al-Siraat
Hair-thin and sharp as blade
For those who have been waylaid
Firm and broad
For those who pleased our Lord
Mistakes can we really afford?
