Trial by Conscience

What trial, what due process?
Why give them access, compound this big mess?

Just take them down a back alley,
and let them have a short volley.
Or is it better to lock them up, throw the key?
We can easily scare those who seek them free.

Euphemisms and obfuscations, will not a conscience ease.
What else is there to answer to, who else is there to please?
