A Muslim in an Ummah of one,
No Masjid, No Khutbas, No fellowship.
No calling of the Adhan...
Longing to see a tall minaret
Towering above the cornfields.

I wish I had a brother to salaam.
Or a sister walking down main in a hijab.
A perfect line in Jummah,
Or, encouragement while fasting in Ramadan,
As the scorching sun hangs in the midday sky.

But this is not to be...
Allaah (SWT) I know sees,
For perfect is His will and deen.
All is as he pleases...
Thus, I rest assured at Allahs feet,As my heart and voice scream,
"ALLAHU AKBAR!"



(I wrote this when I was feeling down because where I live there are no other Muslims and Allaah(SWT)gave me the answer to my prayer in the last stanza. And I praise Him for it...)
