Today is Valentine's...
A lover's annual time...
To show that one,
How much they've gone,
Out of their way... for this one day...

The atmosphere splashed red...
'Red' for 'Love', is said...
Chocolates bought,
Flowers sought,
They hope all this will stay... for this one day...

'Red for Love', you say...
Well take a look this way...
Red splattered,
Love shattered,
On the streets, bodies lay... every day...

No taste of chocolate here...
No flowers growing near...
The husband killed,
And her blood spilled,
And this is not today... but every day...
