What if?
it had all been
sleep and slumber?
what if this soul of mine chose not to wake?
would these wings have taken
these same path of flight?
I wonder,
what would be my poor hearts condition
if my staggering steps had not met yours?
Spit thrice to my left
seek refuge in Thy Name!
Pain of all Pains,
Sorrow of all Sorrows,
Mother of all Dispair..
just a split second of..
such....
loss,
Heart-ache,
a terrible night-mare!
Had my soul stayed asleep
still my heart would've longed,
to wake..
to find Thou,
to take this same path of flight,
that brought me here.
Though it may take
loss of loved ones
(let me lose a thousand more)
exile, pain and imprisonement
(a pleasure)
for it was all in Thy name.
Let me die a thousand deaths
seeking Thy Mercy!
Thy Pleasure!
Thy Grace!
Let me sleep through those
...'dreams'...
a thousand times
to wake up,
to spit thrice to my left,
to know I have Thou on my path
guiding me aright!!!
