As I wake up at dawn to pray my namaz
I think about the days I have cried my eye out
Because of the people who don’t understand
What islam is really about

I remember there moody faces
Giving me the evils
I remember there smirking
And there pointing fingers
I remember the racism
Becoming a cycle

But most importantly
I remember there horrible
Ignorant glare
“Look at that Muslim” one would say
“Look and that rag on her head “
Another would say

But being a Muslim
Means having a good imaan
So mashallah I always stayed strong
With Allah love and my knowledge of islam
I have always been in the right
So its time to represent islam in a good way
And ignore the stereotypes who get in our way
Lets all get together brother and sisters
“And say islam is the best”
