There was a time
When it fascinated me,
A cake with icing
And some decorations as well
Shared piece by piece with each
With a very big smile allah gifted
But tiny thoughts
Didn’t appreciate it at all ;))

And then after some years
Learning months, days and hours
Taught me to circle the day
I would get a new dress, a book or two
And endless kisses and hugs

Every year it kept on promoting me
With new thoughts and needs
Which I desired to be fulfilled
On a special day like this

When it was the teenage
I started counting days
To receive midnight calls and fancy cards
From friends who touched my heart and thoughts
And was so proud to say,
Oh,yeah!i’m BIG enough
To know the right and wrong
Choose my friends
And what suits me the best

When I walked in twenties
Someone special joined me
To brighten this day
Together and bring happiness
Endlessly

Then in recent past
The volume of the happiness
Increased with expectations,
Excitement and adventure
To hold and experience
The creature of true happiness

Fulfilling new duties with
Extra energy, love and care
Made me forget
Today…

The big day is now
Just another day
Knowing the true fact of life
Mind and heart both warns
Life’s happiness
Should not be limited
To a special day or two

Everyday through out the life
Must always be a special day
Spent meaningfully
And that’s the secret to
Remain young at heart
With the same happiness
Experienced now…..
