you were tough and strong
you use to give me your shoulder to cry on,
embrace me with your hugs
chase away my demons.
two feet tall with a ego just as tall
never knew i would fall,
from being mummys angel
to become a complete stranger.

started hanging with the older boys
i wanted to play it like the big boys,
communication started fading
my personality became intimidating,
you became frail
your talks and crys did not prevail.

waiting all night to hear my footsteps
ready to ignore my filthy breath,
i made you wait till 5 at night
while my mind was intoxicated unaware of allahs wrath.

now i wish,i wiped your tears away
planted a smile on your blessed face,
chased away your sorrows to a far place
hugged you when you needed me there.

but your tear drops were heard by the most compassionate
your dua has made me a better person,
i promise to change my direction
now i want to repent and regret for my destabilization.

mother,you've seen my fall
still loved me throughout when i was out in cold,
but i've witnessed something more beautiful
and that is your priceless "unconditional love"
