Battle of the Sexes!

Battle of the sexes!
The battle of sexes has reached a new height
Both unforgiving ready for a fight
What has happened to the human race?
Is this what the next generation has to face?
Both sides refuse to budge
Blaming the other asserting their rights
This is the plight
A pity sight
Where did we go wrong?
The battle is heading headstrong
Fighting for equality
In all severity
Men and women are supposed to compliment*
Equality of a different sentiment
Being just and fair
Is not simply about giving the same share!
Picture this, the youngest sibling
Keeps on mumbling
Increase my allowance to match the eldest
In the name of equality this is madness
$5 for the youngest
$50 for the eldest**
This is the fairest
Justice at its greatest
The same goes for a man and a woman
Allah swt made us different for a reason
Equality is not asking to be like the other***
But working hand in hand together
In Islam equality is seen in a different light
Justice and fairness is put to right
Not competing or fight****
But working together aiming at the same sight
Male or female there is no role reversal*****
As Islamic values are universal
There shouldn’t be any controversial
Islam is fair Islam is impartial
Man and woman is each other companion
Living together as true champion
Seeking the blessing of Allah Almighty
This is equality this is our duty

* The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. They command what is right and forbid what is wrong, keep up prayer and give the alms [zakat], and obey Allah and His Messenger. They are the people on whom Allah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat at-Tawba: 71)
They are clothing for you, and you for them" (Surat al-Baqara: 187).
** In Islam the concept of Adl’, Just or Equality is to put matter at its proper places and context not just by equality of the same. A youngest sibling in junior school will definitely need lesser allowance than the eldest sibling in high school. This is just giving them the correct allowance at the right rate.
*** O People! keep your duty to your Lord, who created you from a single being and created its mate of the same (kind), and spread from these two many men and women. And keep your duty to Allah by Whom you demand one of another (your rights), and (to) the ties of relationship. Surely Allah is ever a watcher over you. (4•1)
And do not covet that wherewith Allah has excelled one of you above another. To men shall be the portion of what they earn and to women shall be the portion of what they earn. And ask Allah for some of His grace. Verily Allah is all knowing. (4•32)
**** Hazrat Asma Bint-i-Hazid (ra) once came to the Prophet (sws) and said, ‘A group of women has sent me as their representative and they all have the same opinion, including me, about which I wanted to enquire. Allah has sent you as a Rasul for both men and women, therefore we believed you and followed your footsteps. But we are women who remain behind the veil and inside our homes. Men fulfil their desires with us and we take care of their off-springs. Men have excelled in prayers and Jihad, and every other act of piety. Will we be rewarded with them too?’
After listening to her speech, Holy Prophet (sws) asked his companions, ‘Have you ever listened to such a fine speech by a woman before who had enquired about religion?’ All the companions answered in the negative. Then the Holy Prophet (sws) said to Asma (ra), ‘O Asma help me in conveying my message to the women who have made you their representative, that their taking care of the household and keeping their husbands happy is equivalent to all those deeds of men you have just mentioned.’ After hearing this Hazrat Asma (ra) returned happily thanking Almighty.
***** 1631. Ibn 'Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cursed effeminate men and masculine women."
In one variant, "The Messenger of Allah cursed men who made themselves look like women and women who made themselves look like men." [al-Bukhari]
1632. Abu Hurayra said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cursed any man who wears women's clothes and any woman who wears men's clothes." [Abu Dawud
