Dua in times of struggle

Ya Rabb,
Protect me with the transparent shield of taqwa,
against the arrows of worldly desire.
Dress me in the iron harness of ihsân,
to withstand the blows that may heart will receive.
Grant me the courage of relentless imân,
to outrun the vehicles of cowardice and shame.

My Lord,
Shower me with the cooling waters of tawâkkul,
to help extinguish the fire of my tears.
Help me find the bridge towards Your mercy,
that I may carry my soul across the canyon of truth.
