A statement of the old
Yet we always hear it being told
Again and again and gain
We are struck with pain
Whenever we are remembered.

We are warned
About the visitor
Who is always the victor
He takes us either in the evening or morning
He leaves us to mourn
When our dear ones are gone.

It is death!
It takes the life of the child at birth
And that of the wrinkled and feeble.
Because it knows no one.
They say, "Live life and have fun!"

But Allah says,
Remember Him through out all days.
He is the cause of your birth
And He is the Lord of Death.
