For this slice of time
You have power over me
You’ve abused me to your heart’s content
Now let me go

A country brimming with prejudice
Has no appetite for justice
A trial would therefore do me no good
Just let me go

I have no dignity left to lose
No honor remains to die or kill for
Loving forgiveness awaits me in the next world
Let me go
