Heaven: life after life
Submitted by : Saarah on Think
Where will I go, once I die?
When death drags me away?
Heaven or hell?
I suppose, time will tell.
I hope for the best
In my afterlife
But my sins and mistakes
Will judge my place.
But heaven, if I do go there
What will it be like?
I hear tales of all the treasures,
Heaven: known to be the greatest of pleasures
A place of beauty and wonder
Of things I know I'll love
A place of success
And of utmost happiness.
It's the one place I want to be
The promised land
Yet I fear I have no chance
To go there or even get a glance.
Of this place- without suffering
Instead filled with love and joy.
Somewhere for never-ending fun
For the good, people have done.
I want to be there
To make it my home
Filled with castles for us all
What more can we ask for?
I want you to come to
So strive and work hard
And in God should you believe
Then this world, you'll achieve.
Then we shall truly be happy
Having won our prize, our trophy
From pain we shall be free
And a place of warmth, we shall spend our eternity.
