Profiling a Screen
My name or my face,
leaps ahead of me to erase
any randomness in selection math,
on every airport security path.
Not able to hide either,
I pensively approach the counter.
Cringing with apprehension inside,
politely respectful on the outside.
Ignoring knowing stares,
from other fellow travelers,
I am a silent participant
in my own public abasement.
Its for your own safety, some keep saying.
Politically incorrect profiling,
saves lives and property.
Just like internments did last century.
