Sent from the Divine One above
You come like a long lost love
A mercy among days
To be filled with Majestic praise
We anticipate your arrival
As our honoured guest
You deserve only the best
For you hold within you hours so precious
Magnified one thousand measures
Just when we have become a little bit stronger
You want to leave us
Won’t you tarry a while longer…
For your leaving marks
The release of things dark…
But
Alas, Farewell, dear friend
Your time has come to an end
You pass through as commanded, we do understand
Thank you for gracing us with your presence
Reminding us of some valuable lessons
And
Giving us an opportunity
To wipe the slate clean, a general indemnity
For those sincere and those who see
For
Although you may be back again next year
Only Al-Alimu knows if we will still be here
