Sightless, Mindful

you are out of sight…
but my mind really doesn’t care
… it sees you
as enough as eyes do
… feelings don’t change
when vision is impaired
between now and when I die
if my sight isn’t same
my heart wishes you to be happy
regardless
of how that happiness reaches you
less from what you try to get, knowingly
if I know you
