Thankful
The whole body proclaims it’s blessings
Even just standing still
Eyes – to behold the world
Ears – to listen to its sounds
Limbs – to move, to be the vehicle to implement the souls wish
The skeleton, a blessing
And clothed in blessings
Dress it with one more robe
To make it complete
The robe of thankfulness, gratitude
To the Most Compassionate who gave all this to you
And gave you a whole body
And what of a partial body?
Those without limbs?
Without fully functioning eyes or ears?
And what of those with illnesses, pains?
Let them remind you to be even more thankful
That you have not been tested to this degree
And they themselves still be grateful
For what functions they do have
Because there will be someone who doesn’t have this
And more important than a whole or partial body
Is a whole soul
Whoever has a content soul
A soul loving good, purity, and striving to improve
And grateful for all blessings
They are truly whole, complete, and rejoice in this:
He is well pleased with them
And they are well pleased with Him.
