The Bliss I Sought
Submitted by : muslimhero on Islam
The month the Quran was revealed,
has brought,
the bliss I sought,
my heart has never been more healed,
I thought.
I learnt to boycott desires and thirst,
and hunger,
while days grew longer,
discipline decreed submission to God first,
inner-self made stronger.
Faith leapt from my skin pores,
from my breathe,
from every width,
I am cast into oblivion's pores,
I crave so till death.
In the Ramadan I so adore,
love is cast,
in future and past,
I shall weep when 'tis no more,
the month of fast.
