Why are Muslims powerless?

Why are Muslims powerless?
Isn’t that a state so obvious?
Our attitude so callous
In a matter so serious
The main reason is lack of education
In addition, Muslim countries are in friction
There is no conviction what more dedication
To produce a knowledgeable population
Then where do we begin?
As the blaming game is a sin
Do you feel the tinge?
To change thing
There are 57 member-countries of the OIC
All of them put together have 500 universities
One university for every 3 million Muslims, isn’t that a sad story?
We expect more from a Muslim country.
What are the leaders doing?
Not pinpointing but just asking
Excuses aplenty but in fact nothing!
Again what a sad thing
Imagine Iqra was the first revelation*
There must be a reason
As why knowledge is given
That is to set free from the ignorance prison
Even the angels dare not commit treason
As to Adam (as) they acknowledged his wisdom
They prostrated without hesitation**
As Allah’s command is the final decision
A meagre 0.2% of GDP on research and development
What is your comment?
Is our fate sealed with cement?
Then what can we do to amend?
Since Muslims lack the capacity to produce knowledge
We as ordinary citizens are sitting on the ledge
As the leaders alleged
Education is not their priority as they had pledged
The Muslim world is failing to diffuse knowledge
When we abandon the Prophet’s heritage
A sad day for Muslims lineage
Slowly we are committing a silent carnage

* Al-Quran 96:1-5, “Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)], Has taught man that which he knew not.”
** Al-Quran 2:31-34: “And He taught Adam all the names (of everything), then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful. They (angels) said: "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise. He said: "O Adam! Inform them of their names," and when he had informed them of their names, He said: "Did I not tell you that I know the Ghaib (unseen) in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing? And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam. And they prostrated except Iblis (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).”
